Yep, that’s my title and I’m sticking to it.

I don’t normally give shout-outs to actors and celebrities (although I do have a Ryan Reynolds and Joel McHale shrine hidden deep in my basement), but I have to tell the world that I think Lucy Liu is fabulous.  Mr. Who and I went out on a date for my muffle1st birthday the other day and saw The Man with the Iron Fists.  It was my choice, no, really, it was, and it made the top 20 list of my Favorite Movies bumping Stepbrothers to 21.

This movie had so much blood.  So much ridiculous amounts of blood spraying everywhere, it made me laugh.  It made me wonder if it was because I am so jaded from my many years of horror/science fiction/suspense thriller/romance movies you suck! watching, or if it was because there is no way that by cutting off someone’s head their blood will continually spray up to 10 feet in all directions for  20 seconds. Did you know you can just rip people’s arms off? Of course there has to be some training involved, but it looks relatively easy.

Dave Bautista from WWE  fame was in it, and that was a pleasant surprise, because a long time ago when I was a huge wrestling fan I used to call him “Ba-tasty” causing my then ten-year old son to simultaneously roll his eyes, snort, and giggle at the same time.

Russell Crowe was in it, too, and while he probably won’t be lining his shelf with an award from this movie, he looked like he was having the time of his life.  He looked different, too; he either ate the last of the Hostess Twinkies causing them to go bankrupt or decided to go bulky for this role, but it was hard to remember he was a gladiator once.

Hello, Digression.  Lucy Liu is beautiful.  I have watched her since Ally McBeal, and any time she shows up in a movie, I know she is going to be one thing: bad ass.   The woman was born in 1968 (she’ll be 44 on December 2nd) and looks about 30, it’s really not fair. She is elegant, feminine, kinda mean, and makes every fight scene she is in look effortless.  In one, she kicked serious butt, and Mr. Who and I looked at each other at the same time and smiled at the badassishness of Ms. Liu.  The asskicking Sigourney Weaver does with a flamethrower, Lucy does with a geisha fan.  Needless to say, I’m a huge fan.

I would definitely want her in my Walking Dead Group. Which reminds me, I need to start working on that list.
